COVID-19 Emotional Support Line for Healthcare Workers

Thank you so much for volunteering your time!  Our onboarding process introduces you to the specific needs of those on the COVID-19 front lines and the workings of the TN Emotional Support Line.  Volunteers are required to complete onboarding before scheduling shifts on the support line.  The entire onboarding process can be completed in less than 30 minutes.

Step 1

Watch the volunteer training.

Step 2

Review the code of ethics.

Step 3

Download the Telzio app. Telzio is the support line's phone system, and the app enables you to connect to the phone system from your mobile phone. Please note, while you are downloading the Telzio app now, your user account will be created within the next three business days. You will receive an email with your account information after it is created.

Step 4

Download and review Telzio Quick Start Guide.

Step 5

Review the liability waiver and sign an online form confirming you reviewed these materials and agree to the terms of volunteering.

COVID-19 Emotional Support Line Liability Release

I hereby release the COVID-19 Emotional Support Line, the TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, the Tennessee Association of Alcohol, Drug, and Other Addiction Services, the Mental Health Active Response Team, as well as MHART representatives, Board of Directors, and staff from any and all responsibility for loss or injury during the course of my work as a COVID-19 Emotional Support Line volunteer.
